I am Megan Othling, a birth doula, childbirth educator, and prenatal and postpartum exercise specialist serving Albuquerque and the surrounding areas. I received my doula and childbirth educator certification through Childbirth International, and a rebozo certification through Gena Kirby. I did my prenatal and postpartum exercise training through Erica Ziel of Core Athletica.
I have always been awed by pregnancy and birth, but really fell in love with it after having my own four children. I believe in women and their ability to nurture and birth their babies in the best way for them, and I love seeing people meet the challenges and triumphs unique to each journey. I offer women information and support to be able to make their own informed choices regarding their pregnancies and births. I want to provide the tools for them to take the wheel in their own maternity care. I am passionate about supporting women and their partners as they find their strength and nurture the wisdom they will need to face the challenges of pregnancy, birth, and new parenthood. I provide physical and emotional support for women and their partners throughout pregnancy, labor, and birth, and my desire is to foster a deeper connection between partners when a partner is involved. I will also passionately support single mothers. I attend births in hospitals, birth centers, or homes. I care about you and your individual choices and circumstances, so I am happy to support you in unmedicated, medicated, or cesarean birth.
